is one of the many homebred thoroughbreds of Hillrise Farm, but
has a different reason to be, than the other babies born here.
It is a known fact that the fancy babies are more desirable in the
show ring as well as the sale ring and after their career at the race
track is over, they have a much better chance of getting a permanent
home.

2006 Paint Colored Thoroughbred Filly
at 1 Week of Age |
When Spot’s dam produced a beautiful but
spotless foal that Easter morning in the year 2000,after being bred to
the most wonderful thoroughbred, Nite Spot, well, it just proved that
what you see is not always what you get. Since then, I have found out
that it works the other way around as well. Spot carries the Frame
Overo and Sabino genes of his fabulous show horse sire and the Rabicano
gene of his dam and has produced two paint colored thoroughbred foals
and three thoroughbred fillies that carry the frame genes, from eight
solid thoroughbred mares. Since his last photograph taken, Spot has
matured to a 17 hand beauty with a great temperament and personality,
graceful mover, and agility of the best of race horses. Hillrise Farm
invites the breeders of horses of all breeds to participate in what
will be a very good idea for all.
If you are interested in purchasing Spot's Foals, there may be some for sale, as
well as thoroughbred mares in foal to Spot. To see babies and mares
that are for sale, you may visit the farm website at www.dog-e-beg.com
and click on the "Horses for Sale" . Be sure and save the
site for future visits. If you would like to chat about him, his
ancestors, relatives and babies, you can feel free to contact me, Janet
Chisholm at PGH15101@aol.com Wishing all of his visitors a happy and peaceful year.

Sired by Nite Spot
Spot’s sire, Nite Spot,(shown above) is a true rarity among thoroughbreds...
He
displays his frame Overo genes and also carries the Sabino gene. Nite
Spot was a very well known stallion here in the United States and was
not only famous for his paint markings but his excellent jumping
qualities and many successful hunter competitions. The artist Peter
Stone has created a model image of him. Since covering Spot’s dam in
1999, he has been relocated from California to Germany to enhance the
European market with his wonderful movement and rare genetics.
